Summer Solstice
Happy Solstice!
Today, at 4:51pm ET, the summer solstice/Litha will occur, marking the start of summer and Cancer βοΈ season, the archetype of the mother. A water sign ruled by the moon, this season can support us in looking closer at the relationships with those who have mothered or nurtured us, as well as at ways we can better nurture ourselves. In the Atlanta area, we will get a whopping 14 hours and 26 minutes of total daylight today!
The π full moon occurs in Capricorn βοΈ, the archetype of the Crone, on Friday at 9:08pm ET. This full moon invites you to celebrate the areas where you have been successful in manifesting what you desired and to reflect on what practical ways you can support yourself moving forward.
I love the combination of the mother and the crone as a way to let the wisdom of our experiences and our intuition guide us to what we really need to care for ourselves this season. Take some time over the next few days to reflect on how you can better nurture yourself during this season.

π« Cancer Season For You π«
If you want to know how this astrological season will impact you in general, look at what house you have Cancer in and then refer to the House Themes Chart to see the area of life this season will be activating for you.
If you want an individualized reading that covers the major transits for the season and how they impact you personally, check out my Align with the Astrological Seasons offering: A mini-reading providing a snapshot of what the upcoming astrological season activates in your chart along with the full and new moon focuses for you during that time. Comes complete with journal prompts, too.
βοΈ Uplifting Solstice Sun Tea βοΈ
In a glass container with a lid, add 2 quarts of cold water. Place 8 small tea or two large tea bags in the jar and then add 8 mint leaves. Place it in the sun for 4β6 hours - be sure to move it, so it stays in the sun during that time. Works best when temperatures are over 80 degrees.
π Manifestation Oranges π
I know I have written about this before, but could not find the post to link you to it, so I will share it again here. Take a navel orange and write your intentions and or wishes for the second half of the year. On the morning of solstice, place your orange where it will sit in the sun soaking up all of its joyous energy. That evening after sunset, eat your orange while envisioning those intentions manifesting. My husband and I do this every year for the solstice. (based on a idea by Molly Mahar of Stratejoy)
