Welcome!
Welcome to the first Intentional Living with Lara Newsletter. My hope is that this newsletter will become a resource for you, with simple and practical ways to bring magick and meaning into your everyday life. I don’t intend to fill your In-Box with multiple newsletters a month, but rather, send you one or two a month that provide you with helpful tools you can use and brief updates on my offers & programs.
Why Intentional Living?
“Intentional Days create a life on purpose.” - Adrienne Enns
I woke up one day to the realization that although I appeared to have it all - a great corporate six-figure job, a ‘power ‘marriage to another corporate success, and all the THINGS - I was extremely exhausted and totally depressed. AND I didn’t even know how I got there or who I had become. It was as if I was looking at someone else’s life - a life I had been conditioned to want but did not feel aligned with at all. I knew right then that the life I was currently living was not what I wanted anymore! I knew I wanted more out of life and to feel as much joy as possible. This sparked the beginning of a self-discovery journey for myself that eventually led me to leave my corporate career, end an abusive marriage, and become a successful entrepreneur with a life that I intentionally create.
Along the way, I learned the importance of uncovering your authentic self, affirming feminine intuition, re-connecting to nature and her rhythms, being present in the moment - and present in your body - and being a part of communities of support. Through yoga, meditation, embodied movement, Ayurveda & holistic health and waking up to my own innate connections to nature's cycles, I now have practices that support me in living with intention. In essence, I learned to live intentionally by nurturing my mind, body, and spirit, to create a life that has meaning and holds magick for me.
Everyone’s practices for living with intention will vary but I found mine through a lot of reading, research and self-exploration - and ultimately, a lot of trial and error. Making sure to include practices that address the three pillars of mind, body and spirit, as well as having a supportive place to experiment and apply the concepts, were critical parts of the process. These were also big reasons behind why I created Intentional Living with Lara and the Luminaries Community So, I invite you to keep an open mind and to try some of the tips and ideas that you come across in Intentional Living and see if any of them end up resonating with you. The ones that help deepen your connection to your life and its magick are the ones to keep. Let me know how it goes. Here’s some easy tips for adding more intention to your mornings!
Intentionally Yours,
Lara
5 Easy Intentional Morning Practices - without journaling or meditating
🪷 Light a candle in your bathroom as you get ready for the day and as you light it, set a one word intention for that day.
🪷 Pick a scent or essential oil that evokes a positive memory or that you enjoy and wear it on a diffusing necklace or bracelet (or if it is skin safe, on your skin)
🪷 Write down on a slip of paper one thing you are grateful for and collect them in a special jar or bowl as you head out the door
🪷 Wear the piece of jewelry/dress/outfit/shoes that you save for only special occasions today
